Emotional eating
Food can become a comfort, a reward or a way to fill a quiet evening. When the feeling returns, so does the habit.
Understanding the challenge
Most people already know what they “should” eat. The challenge is everything that happens between knowing and doing.
Food can become a comfort, a reward or a way to fill a quiet evening. When the feeling returns, so does the habit.
Snacking in front of a screen, finishing everything on the plate, eating on the go. Many of our habits happen before we even notice them.
Strict rules, a slip, guilt, then starting again. Over time this cycle can make your relationship with food more stressful, not less.
How hypnotherapy can help
In a relaxed state, we explore the moments and feelings that lead you to eat when you’re not hungry, and gently loosen their hold.
Together we find calmer ways to meet the needs food has been meeting, like rest, comfort or a break.
Through guided imagery, you practise eating slowly, stopping when satisfied and choosing foods that feel good, so they start to feel natural.
When it feels supportive, I may also weave in Reiki, a gentle energy practice that many people find deeply relaxing, to help you settle into a calm, receptive state.
If you’re living with an eating disorder, or think you might be, please reach out to your doctor or a specialized eating disorder service. Hypnotherapy isn’t a substitute for that care. For changes to your diet or health goals, a doctor or registered dietitian is the best guide.
What to expect
We talk about your eating habits, what you’ve tried before and what you’d like to feel differently. Then I guide you into hypnosis shaped around your own goals.
Habits around food often build up over many years, so a few sessions can help the change settle in. We decide together as we go.
You’ll have simple techniques to use in the moments that used to trip you up, like stressful afternoons or late evenings.
Pay after, not before
Applying and our 15-minute call are free. After each session, you pay whatever feels right for the value it has brought to your life — right away, or within a week or so.

I can’t promise a number on the scale, and I’d be wary of anyone who does. Many clients find that as their habits and relationship with food change, they feel more in control of their health. Your doctor is the right person to help with weight goals.
No. I don’t prescribe diets or meal plans. Our sessions focus on your habits and feelings around food. If you’d like nutrition advice, a registered dietitian can help.
Yes, it’s one of the most common reasons people come to me. We work on the feelings and triggers behind it, gently and without judgment.
Yes. Online sessions take place over a secure video call, and many people enjoy relaxing from their own home.
