The routines
Morning coffee. The drive to work. The break with colleagues. After a meal. Each moment becomes a cue, and your hand reaches for the pack before you’ve even decided.
Why quitting feels so hard
The physical pull of nicotine is only one part of the story. Over the years, cigarettes weave themselves into your day, and into how you take care of yourself.
Morning coffee. The drive to work. The break with colleagues. After a meal. Each moment becomes a cue, and your hand reaches for the pack before you’ve even decided.
A cigarette can be a pause, a reward, a way to step away from stress or to feel part of a group. Take it away without replacing that need, and it often shows up somewhere else — as snacking, irritability or restlessness.
“I’m a smoker.” “I’ve tried before.” “I can’t handle stress without it.” These quiet beliefs can make change feel impossible, even when part of you is ready.
How hypnotherapy can help
In a relaxed, focused state, we gently loosen the automatic link between your everyday moments and the urge to light up, so coffee can just be coffee again.
Together we find calmer, healthier ways to take the pause, release the stress or feel the reward that cigarettes used to give you.
Through guided imagery, you experience yourself as a non-smoker in the situations that matter most, so the new way starts to feel familiar and natural.
When it feels supportive, I may also weave in Reiki, a gentle energy practice that many people find deeply relaxing, to help you settle into a calm, receptive state.
What to expect
We start by talking: when you smoke, what it gives you, what you’ve tried, and — most importantly — why you want to stop. Change lasts longest when the reason is your own, not someone else’s. Then I guide you into hypnosis, tailored to everything you’ve shared.
Some people feel ready after one session. Others prefer to stop gradually, or find one or two follow-ups helpful to strengthen the change. We decide together what feels right for you.
You’ll leave with simple techniques to use when a craving or old habit shows up, so you have something calm to reach for instead.
A thought on cost
In Ontario, a pack a day can add up to well over $5,000 a year — before counting the effect on your energy, your breathing and the people around you.
That’s one reason I don’t charge upfront. You decide what the change is worth to you, after your session.

Questions
It’s different for everyone. Some people feel ready after one session; others find one or two follow-ups helpful. We’ll talk about it on your free call and decide together as we go.
It’s a common worry. Snacking often steps in when the needs a cigarette met aren’t addressed. That’s why our sessions focus on meeting those needs in calmer ways, so you’re less likely to swap one habit for another.
Yes. Hypnotherapy can work alongside nicotine patches, gum or any other support you’re already using. Just let me know what you’re using so we can take it into account.
A slip isn’t a failure. Stressful days and social evenings are common moments for it. Instead of starting over, we look at what happened and use it to strengthen the change. Just get in touch.
Yes. Online sessions take place over a secure video call. All you need is a quiet, private space, headphones and a steady internet connection. Many people enjoy being able to relax in their own home.
Share a little about your smoking and what you’d like to change. I read every request personally.
