An automatic alarm
Your body reacts before your thinking mind catches up: racing heart, tight chest, the urge to get away.
Understanding the challenge
You may know the fear doesn’t quite make sense. But fear responds faster than logic, and that’s why reasoning alone rarely helps.
Your body reacts before your thinking mind catches up: racing heart, tight chest, the urge to get away.
Each time you avoid the situation, the relief teaches your mind that it really was dangerous, and the fear grows a little stronger.
Often the days of dread before a flight or appointment feel worse than the moment itself.
How hypnotherapy can help
We begin in a deeply relaxed state, so your mind and body can approach the fear from a place of safety.
Step by step, you imagine the situation while staying calm, so your mind learns a new, steadier response.
We rehearse the real moment, like boarding the plane or sitting in the dentist’s chair, until it starts to feel manageable.
When it feels supportive, I may also weave in Reiki, a gentle energy practice that many people find deeply relaxing, to help you settle into a calm, receptive state.
If your fear is linked to a traumatic experience, or comes with flashbacks or severe distress, please speak with your doctor or a registered mental health professional. Hypnotherapy can complement their care, but it isn’t a replacement.
What to expect
We talk about your fear, when it started, how it shows up and what you’d love to be able to do. Then I guide you into calm, focused hypnosis.
Some specific fears ease within a few sessions; others take a little longer. We go at the pace that feels right for you.
You’ll have simple calming techniques to use whenever the fear shows up, including right before the moment itself.
Pay after, not before
Applying and our 15-minute call are free. After each session, you pay whatever feels right for the value it has brought to your life — right away, or within a week or so.
